Why does my WordPress site need regular maintenance?
Most hacked WordPress sites run an outdated plugin or theme, so regular updates close the gaps attackers look for. Daily backups mean your site can be restored if something goes wrong, and uptime monitoring and security checks catch problems before your visitors do. Your site also stays fast and compatible with new versions of WordPress and PHP.
Who works on my site?
Our own WordPress developers, each with at least 10 years of hands-on experience. We don’t use contractors or outsource any of our work.
My site has problems right now. Can you still take it on?
Yes. When you subscribe, we fix any existing issues as part of onboarding, then keep the site in shape from there.
Do you back up my site before making changes?
Yes. We take a full backup before we start any work, so your site can be restored quickly if needed.
How long do you keep my backups?
For as long as you’re subscribed, within your plan’s backup disk space.
What isn’t included?
We look after the technical side of existing WordPress sites and work alongside your designer or developer. A few things are outside our scope:
- Web design. We leave design to designers, and work well alongside design agencies without stepping on their toes.
- Building new websites. We fix and look after existing sites. Many agencies work with us, so we can often recommend one that fits your budget.
- Bulk data entry. If you need thousands of pages, posts or products added, we can help you find an importer, but we can’t enter them by hand.
- Changing third-party plugins. We can’t add features to a plugin you’re using, as those requests go to its developer. We can help you find a plugin that does what you need.
